From videography for any event or special occasion to the creation of corporate, music, mobile/web, and narrative videos, Verena Faden will incorporate her expertise in film making while ensuring that your project is what you envisioned.
Faden was mentored by director David Frankel, ( Marley and Me and The Devil Wears Prada ) as a result of winning the Scenarios USA "What's the Real Deal" screenwriting contest in 2002. Her winning script, 'Just Like You Imagined?', was directed by Frankel and has aired repeatedly on Showtime.
Based on the merit of her film, Faden was awarded a scholarship to attend The School of Visual Arts in New York City where she earned her bachelor's degree in writing and directing. Her thesis film, 'Category 4' stars Steven Bauer ( Scarface, Traffic ) and Ivelin Giro ( Decisiones and El Zorro La Espada y La Rosa ). The film premiered to a sold out audience of 300 at the Tower Theater in Miami. It has since been awarded "Best Student Film" at the Women's International Film Festival in 2008 and is currently being featured in the Short Circuit Film Tour.
Faden has gained experience by working with professionals on films such as Marley and Me and Miami Vice and by producing video projects for Current TV. She has also shared her expertise with the community by teaching film making to inner city youths through the Manhattan Neighborhood Network.
Faden is a diligent, creative and passionate filmmaker and is committed to giving each project special attention.
